If you want to see an example simulation of your tree, press F6 (or the right circled icon in the pic above) and a message window will come up with a random run through your tree:
However, you may be more interested in a run through a particular part of the tree instead of just a completely random run.
In order to instruct the program to do so, you'll need to set a checkpoint at the location where you want the random run to go through.
To set such a checkpoint, press F10 (or click the icon) and, click on either a decision node or (in the pic below) and endpoint symbol.
A checkpoint symbol will now be drawn over this node:
And if you now press F6 for a trial run, all simulations you will get will go through the decision/endpoint with the checkpoint on it.
If you perform a couple of trials using this method, you may get the following error:
This error occurs because, after performing 1000 random simulations, the software has still not produced a run that made it through the checkpoint and has decided to stop trying.
The main reason why this error is given is that, from the software's point of view, it appears there may be some sort of conflict in the tree.
If you want the software to keep trying for more than 1000 runs, you can increase this number of attempts by going to "Engine->Edit number of simulations" and increasing the field "Failure at X failed runs".
